We use certified fire-resistant embroidery thread for all FR garments to maintain safety compliance. FR thread colours are limited to a curated range of approved shades designed specifically for high-heat and industrial environments.

Pantone-based colour matching is available only for our standard poly embroidery thread and cannot be used on FR garments. We’ll guide you through the closest available FR-safe options to ensure your branding remains consistent while meeting safety requirements.

Approved Decoration Methods for FR Garments

Only specific decoration methods are permitted on FR-rated garments to maintain their safety certification. 

We follow industry-approved practices to ensure every item remains compliant after customization.

FR-Safe Embroidery (Approved)

Not Permitted on FR Garments

These methods can compromise the garment’s FR rating and are not allowed:

• Heat-applied vinyl (HTV)

• Standard poly embroidery thread

• Direct-to-film (DTF) or direct-to-garment (DTG) printing

• Any decoration requiring high heat or adhesives

• We may limit thread types, placements, or backing materials based on garment type

• Non-compliant decoration requests will be adjusted or declined to protect safety standards

Can I choose any thread colour for FR garments?

FR garments require FR-rated thread, which comes in a limited colour range. We’ll help you choose the closest match for your branding.

Can you use heat transfer or vinyl on FR garments?

No. Heat-applied methods and standard poly thread are not permitted on FR garments because they can affect compliance.

Do you supply FR and safety workwear?
